Q: CAN I PURCHASE FRESH CUT FLOWER BUCKETS, BUT STILL HAVE YOU MAKE MY BRIDAL BOUQUET?
A: sure thing! many brides are excited about using fresh cut flowers in their wedding, but are nervous about making their own bouquet. we can help you with that! email us and we can chat about it!

Q: WHAT TYPE OF FLOWERS WILL BE IN MY BUCKET?
A: the flowers in your buckets are all grown right here on our farm, and the types and colors available will change throughout the seasons. Unexpected weather, pest, and disease problems make it difficult to predict exactly what flowers will be in bloom during a specific week. We see this as a wonderful surprise! There are some flowers that we usually have almost all season long, like zinnias, sunflowers, cosmos, and snapdragons. If you have a mid-June wedding, you might have gorgeous stock, baptisia, or peonies in your buckets. If you’re getting married in September you may find the long-awaited lisianthus and dahlias in your buckets.

Q: CAN I CHOOSE THE TYPE OF FLOWERS THAT WILL BE IN MY BUCKET?
A: I will do my best to accommodate your color scheme and flower preference!

Q: HOW MANY BUCKETS SHOULD I BUY?
A: this is a tough question, because it depends on how big your vases are, what size you make your bouquets, and your personal arranging style. In general, one bucket can make 7-10 arrangements in wide-mouth quart mason jars. Use this as a guide, and remember that if you over-order you can always find more room for additional flowers at your wedding!

Q: WHAT DO I NEED WHEN I COME TO PICK UP THE BUCKETS AND HOW SHOULD I TRANSPORT MY FLOWERS FROM YOUR FARM?
A: You'll want to bring your own sparkling clean buckets - in other words, buckets that you could drink out of! It's super important that flowers be placed in clean buckets with clean water. Bring the same number of buckets that you purchased.  If you want, you can borrow our buckets for $10 each - which is refundable with the return of each bucket.  Treat your flowers the same as you'd treat ice cream on a hot day. This means that your flowers should be transported in an air conditioned vehicle and never placed in the trunk.  Flowers should also never be placed in the bed of a truck. You can usually fit 3 – 5 buckets in the back seat of a sedan, and even more in an SUV. You also may want to bring some things to stabilize your buckets - like rolled up towels, bungee cords, etc.) You could also bring a tarp if you’re worried about splashing water! We will supply fresh, clean water prepared with flower food to make your flowers last as long as possible!

Q: HOW SHOULD I STORE THE FLOWERS UNTIL I'M READY TO USE WITH THEM?
A: you can store your flowers in any cool, shaded place with no wind - a cool garage would be ideal. Refrigeration is unnecessary. your flowers will be super fresh and in water with flower food, so they will easily last 4 – 7 days without any special care. Heat and direct sunlight cause your flowers to open quickly and wilt sooner, so avoid these conditions.

Q: WHAT SUPPLIES WILL I NEED WHEN ARRANGING THE FLOWERS?
A: You’ll need a workspace (preferably cool and shaded) that has a water source and that you don't mind getting messy with stems and plant debris. You’ll need sharp, clean clippers, since each stem should get at least one new, clean cut. For centerpieces, you’ll need your clean vases and possibly floral tape. Keep in mind that table centerpieces generally shouldn't be more than 15" so your guests can see over them. For bouquets, you’ll need floral tape to wrap the stems together, as well as beautiful ribbon (we love silk and linen!) and possibly floral pins to hold the ribbon in place (sometimes we just tie it for a simple, beautiful look). Once you’ve made the bouquet, it’s a good idea to have a clean vessel with fresh water to put your bouquet in. For boutonnieres and corsages you’ll need some floral tape, ribbon and floral pins. All of these floral supplies can be found at any craft store.

Q: WILL I BE ABLE TO PURCHASE ADDITIONAL FLOWERS WHEN I COME TO PICK UP MY BUCKETS?
A: since we harvest flowers when we need them, we don't have any additional flowers for purchase. However, if you contact us at least one week before your pick up date, we can add additional flowers to your order.
